On a robust 100% linen base, a complex weave of twisted new-wool and cotton yarns with understated viscose yarns – also known as artificial silk – intertwine, combining the understated shine of the viscose and the matte aspect of the other fine materials. This fabric displays variations in thickness and texture thanks to the thickness of the threads carefully selected by the master-weavers. Available in a single color, that of natural cotton and new-wool, the wool used for “L’Avant-Jour” comes from sheep reared in the United Kingdom, undergoes no chemical treatments, making it a fabric that respects both the animals and the environment. This fabric is ideal for standard-use seating and curtains alike, as well as other decorative pieces, such as cushions.
