The festive season is shaping up to be one of prestige and elegance with the unique collaboration between MISIA and one of the most emblematic palaces in Paris: The Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel.
The Hôtel de Crillon, overlooking the Place de la Concorde, is much more than a palace, it is a veritable jewel in the crown of French art de vivre. This year, the Hôtel de Crillon has chosen to work in partnership with MISIA, seduced by the exceptional quality of its fabrics and its attention to detail, to transform the establishment into a magical setting and celebrate the festive season.
Entrusted to Caroline Fodor, a set designer renowned for her creativity and artistic sensibility, this collaboration reinvents the spirit of Christmas by placing the iconic bow, a symbol of timeless elegance, at the heart of this creative approach. The emblematic areas of the Hôtel de Crillon, such as the majestic lobby, the Salons Historiques and the luminous Jardin d'Hiver, will be adorned with festive decorations in a palette of warm, elegant shades: Champagne, gold, ecru and bronze. Caroline explains that she wanted to create ‘a Christmas under the theme of emotion and delicacy, where each bow tells a story of precious ties and sharing’.
The tone is set right from the very entry with Caffé Greco, a fabric in a geometric chequered pattern, highlighted with a golden border. This choice subtly dresses the space while playing with natural light to accentuate the elegance of the reception area. The lobby, the centrepiece of the hotel, is enhanced by majestic bows in Allegorie, a matte shimmering taffeta that captures and reflects the light with unequalled poetry.
In the Salons Historiques, the Eurydice fabric is used to dress the balustrades and enhance the space. This Italian jacquard, woven from noble fibres such as silk, cotton and linen, offers a sophisticated elegance that blends harmoniously with the historic architecture of the establishment. To capture the spirit of Christmas, the hotel is decorated with small gifts made from assortments of MISIA fabrics such as Condotti, Eternelle, Pincio and Palais de Poésie. These handmade creations embody both the richness of the textures and the generosity that characterise this time of year.
This collaboration highlights MISIA's commitment to enhancing exceptional places with fabrics of remarkable aesthetic and technical qualities. Caroline Fodor's project, combining creativity and refinement, is a perfect example of how MISIA's expertise perfectly reflects the world of a luxury hotel such as the Hôtel de Crillon. For visitors and guests to the Hôtel de Crillon, this magical scenography is an invitation to dream, celebrate and marvel in an unforgettable atmosphere.
