Galerie Pradier-Jeauneau presents its new exhibition “L'Audace”, a vibrant tribute to creativity, artistic freedom and dialogue between disciplines. From the 9th of January to the 2nd of March 2025, the gallery brought together three major talents of the contemporary art scene: photographer Adel Slimane Fecih, designer Axel Chay and ceramist Claude Dumas.
The Misia x Pradier Jeauneau collaboration continues from April 7 to 11, during Milan Design Week.
MISIA, french editor of exceptional fabrics, is proud to be associated with this artistic event as a partner, continuing its successful collaboration with the gallery to dress the spaces and furniture of these new creations in its precious fabrics.
The exhibition features a unique dialogue between previously unseen pieces by Axel Chay, including a chair and an armchair, as well as personal photographs by photographer Adel Slimane Fecih, and ceramics by Claude Dumas, celebrating a body of work built up over 40 years. Each artist presented brings a bold and intimate vision, reflecting their ability to transcend the limits of their medium.
The exhibition opens with the work of renowned designer Axel Chay, who unveils never-before-seen creations in his “Calade” collection. As you enter, a sofa dressed in Gentleman fabric stands out, embodying with finesse the alliance between comfort and elegance. The various threads of natural linen interwoven with other materials create a rich, soft, slightly puffy texture that delicately emphasizes the curves of the furniture. A little further on, a new chair upholstered in Aux Folies Bergère Mohair velvet in a luminous olive green extends this subtle harmony between design and exceptional textiles.
In a second room, the Étoile du Nord bouclette fabric makes its presence felt on two sumptuous armchairs, combining robustness and softness. They are subtly accompanied by cushions in Tridente fabric, whose bouclette texture and natural shades add a final touch of refinement.
These works, a veritable fusion of furniture and contemporary art, invite us to rediscover French elegance through bold shapes and materials of rare nobility.
Photographer and journalist Adel Fecih explores the boundaries of human emotion. Through a series of powerful, poetic images, he blurs the frontiers between the figurative and the abstract, capturing with intensity the fragility of the soul. Finally, master ceramist Claude Dumas reveals an exceptional project, the fruit of decades of work: the ceramic alphabet. This work, patiently crafted since the 1980s, celebrates the richness of language and the timeless beauty of the material.
MISIA, true to its free-spirited, avant-garde philosophy, is a natural part of this exhibition, contributing its know-how and creative audacity. "L'Audace" offers an immersion into a universe where intimacy and collectivity meet. Each work questions our relationship with time, memory and feeling.
This collaboration with Galerie Pradier-Jeauneau is an obvious choice, uniting two players who share the same quest for emotion and excellence.
